This Road I Walk Upon

Fri Jul 22, 2005, 6:34 PM
Straight on this long, continuing road
there is surely something to believe in

Like a traveler in the midst of the wind
I have my eyes on the northern sky

The passionate feelings that were beginning to vanish
once again sway in radiance in my chest

I don't want the tears to spill
as so not to lose to my weaker self

In eyes holding only an unadorned spirit
there are great, unseen wings

I open my arms while singing
to embrace the perpetuity of time
To be tied to life

Straight on this long, continuing road
there is surely something to believe in

Hello out there, to anyone who still reads these. Well it has been a long and interesting week for me. I hope I can sum it all up shortly, but if not, this maybe a lengthy journal. So bear with me here.

Last weekend I got to come home, which was great. I got to see my family and help out with them moving stuff. They’re hoping to sell the house by September. There still is a lot of work to be done, but hopefully they will make it through. I was actually a bit sore a few nights ago from all the moving, probably should have stretched first ne? All in all it was an enjoyable weekend. I got to see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," which is an excellent movie for people who liked the original or didn’t even know it exited. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp always work so well together. Nothing could have possibly been wrong with my weekend, except for one horrible, terrible thing: Shuttle Service! :pissedoff:

My shuttle was supposed to pick me up at 4:30 for a 6:15 flight out of Oakland, and they never showed up! Luckily I didn’t pay them ahead of time because I would have been really pissed of then. To make a long story short I had to hunt down a taxi that would take me to Oakland International airport, and if any of you readers have ever scene "Eddie Izzard: Dress to kill," you know how hard that is. Well the taxi driver was a pro and got me there on time for my flight, but that would not be the end of my battle with shuttle services...it was only the beginning.

On my return we booked another more reputable shuttle service to get me back into SF after my flight landed at 10:00 PM. No problem right? Wrong! Apparently there were "delays" and no one could get in touch with the dispatcher. I ended up waiting outside the airport for 2 and half hours! When a shuttle form the company I reserved for came, it wasn’t even to pick up me, they were looking for a party to go to Concord. There were five of us all waiting to go to SF, and we made sure that, that fifing bus was going to fifing SF! Another long story short I didn't get in till about 1:30 and got a refund for the inconvenience, but that was not the end...not by a long shot.

Due to the strenuous weekend of labor, and the night of barely any sleep, my episteme bar came back! :rage: I was praying that I was not going to get full blown-sick. I ended up having a fever that finally broke on Wednesday. I didn't even know how serious it was because I had no thermometer. All things set aside, now I am feeling much better.

Within this week has been the outcome of our midterms. I must say this summer is going by fast. I only have 2.5 more weeks of school left, and so much work to do. Is it not cruel to just end midterms, and then know in two weeks you have your finals to look foreword too? I think so. I was able to extract some pictures of my work onto my digital camera, so I may post some things in the near future. I am actually very pleased with the results of my figure modeling. So hopefully you, the viewers, will enjoy too.

Other than that things are peachy keen now. I get to see "Howls Moving Castle" as a part of my CG class make up day. So that is cool. Were going to go see it in Japan Machi (Town), so maybe I'll pick up some more Ramune while I am there. Ahh, sweet Ramune, a true drink of the gods. :ahoy:

Well that's all for now. Hope to see you all again real soon. Ja ne!
